Blogging has become a popular way to express yourself, share your feelings with the world and even earn extra cash. However, sometimes setting up a blog can be time—consuming and even cost money. Hence, the introduction of Tumblr, the home of the tumblelog.
While a blog is considered to be an online journal, a tumblelog is like an online scrapbook where you can informally, quickly share what you love, hate, create or find with other people. A blog is more structured while a tumblelog is easier, faster and more fun to post. Tumblr, a website created by a small web development company in New York City named Davidville, offers you all the tools to create your own tumblelog online for free.
Registering at Tumblr and creating your own tumblelog takes less than a minute and the entire process is free. Once you register at Tumblr, you can start posting on your own tumblelog, check out the entries made by other people and chat with fellow users. You can even promote yourself or your idea on your tumblelog.
I enjoy blogging but sometimes I find it can be overly structured so I welcome the opportunity to play with my new tumblelog at Tumblr.
