Do you value the words and ideas of world leaders and great speakers? If you want to hear some of the most relevant talks ever given, visit TED, a website that features inspired talks from the world’s greatest leaders.
The letters TED stand for Technology, Entertainment and Design. The TED Conference was first held in 1984 to bring these three worlds together for better communication. Now the TED conference proudly brings together the greatest thinkers and doers in the world every year and challenges them to the 18 minute talk of their lives. TED also conducts TED Global, a sister conference on development issues and offers the TED Prize. The TED Prize awards 3 exceptional individuals with $100,000 and “One Wish to Change the World”.
At the TED website, you can hear over 100 different inspirational talks from their archives for free. Interesting leaders from Bono to Bill Clinton have talks available in the archives at TED. Basically, TED is a global community that seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the world and use that information to improve the future for all of us.
More talks are added to the TED website each week to spread thought—provoking ideas so I intend to visit TED regularly to find out what is happening in the world around us.
