If you talk to friends, family or business associates internationally, Pingo offers a calling card service that offers online access to your call history and billing history with significant savings on overseas calls. For business purposes, Pingo Business allows you to create accounts for employees and family members through your single master account.
Pingo works like a prepaid calling card with the additional benefits of reduced long distance calling rates and the control to manage your account online. When you register your home, mobile and office phones with Pingo, you won’t have to enter your account number or PIN when you call from them. This features, called PINpass, can save you time and effort. Also, Pingo automatically recharges your acccount when the balances reaches $5 so you don’t have to worry about it yourself.
The network behind Pingo phone cards is iBasis, using technology Cisco systems and the worldwide Internet to offer long distance phone service for Pingo. To open an account with Pingo, you create a 10—digit account number, a 4—digit Personal Identification Number (PIN), enter your personal PINpass phone numbers and billing information and get $5 worth of free calling when you open with $20. To make call, you call the toll—free Pingo access number, enter your account number and PIN if necessary, dial the number you want to call and start talking.
Although I reviewed the rates and fees, I was still rather confused about how significant the savings would be. However, business people on the go who need to talk internationally or folks who have family in far away places may find the services offered at Pingo are affordable and convenient.
