Can Family Vacations Be Fun and Educational?
Always seeking fun, learning experiences while we travel, I decided to visit Fun and Educational Family Travel Tips to find more ideas. While the website presented several detailed travel options, I found some of the content rather self—oriented and slightly self—promotional rather than conversational.
The website is a blog created by Shannon Kietzman, a teacher, writer, photographer and mother of four boys. Shannon’s mission was to plan enjoyable, educational vacations with her family to encourage a sense of “worldliness” in her sons and to share these adventures with others through her blog for informational purposes.
There were some very useful links at the Fun and Educational Family Travel Tips to popular family destinations such as Disney, the Wisconsin Dells and the Smokey Mountains with detailed stories about these places. The blog also features links to general family travel tips, great cities for families, vacation lodging tips, monuments, National Parks, State Parks, rides and tours and zoos. These links are helpful and were the best feature of the blog because the information is conveniently assembled in one place so you can explore several vacation options with your family. Many of Shannon’s family vacation tips offered worthwhile, practical advice such as bringing simple snacks on road trips rather than sugary ones that will excite the children (and the parents as a result).
Overall, Fun and Educational Family Travel Tips is worth visiting but will not be your only online stop when planning your family vacation.
